The people of Tyrone Pennsylvania take get pride in their heritage. They celebrate their Irish heritage, they support their local Historical Society, and they even support a history room in the Tyrone/Snyder Public Library. So where does a lover of stories go 
to hear some good stories? Well to the Library of course and Judie Adams was willing to help.

genealogies on families, there are yearbooks, some old artifacts, as well as some of the history on Tyrone. For someone doing research on Tyrone or family in Tyrone it is a great place to sit quietly and research to your hearts content. The library also makes copies of materials for those who need to take the information with them.

The library also makes copies of materials for those who need to take the information with them.The library itself is located in the former Jones building. It was a magnificent structure in Tyrone. However, as with most buildings which are left to age and neglect, the building quickly fell into disrepair and was torn down to make way for the library. Three of the outside walls were salvaged and construction of the new library was completed. It is a beautiful spot located right along main street.
Judie Adams is the assistant director at the library and is acting director at the time of this story. She, the staff, and volunteers do an excellent job.
