Telling Stories To Help Libraries
For two weeks I had the opportunity to talk to two public libraries in our area, The Hollidaysburg Public Library and the Tyrone/Snyder Public Library. These resources in small communities across Central Pennsylvania are valuable assets most people over look. For example Hollidaysburg Public Library has some great resources for children. Through the efforts of Melanie and others at the Library, children get a head start on reading. The Tyrone/Snyder Public Library has a wonderful history room. It is perfect for people researching family history and who desire to learn more about the community of Tyrone.
So for the month of September I am putting out a challenge to our StoryTrax readers and writers. Since these libraries and their staff do such a remarkable job and to honor their effort and celebrate “Back To School” we here at America’s Stories are making a pledge. For every story written at www.storytrax.com, StoryTrax will donate $1 to The Tyrone/Snyder Public Library and $1 to the Hollidaysburg Public Library. For every new person who registers and writes a story America’s Stories will also donate another $1 to each Library.
