The Chalk Box
Altoona, PA, 16601I walked the aisles of Barnes and Noble today and on the tables are stacks of books with labels that say “BACK TO SCHOOL”. My sweet little niece is already cleaning her desk off and getting ready for school. That means that teachers and parents are getting ready to decorate rooms, plan activities, and redd up the place for their new students. For a long time teachers and home
school parents had to order materials from a catalog but that has not been the case in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The Chalk Box in downtown Altoona has been providing educational materials for the past five years.
school parents had to order materials from a catalog but that has not been the case in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The Chalk Box in downtown Altoona has been providing educational materials for the past five years. They opened the store because there was a need to provide more support to area teachers and parents. The big box stores like WalMart, ACMoore, and others, provide some materials but The Chalk Box has found a really good niche in providing educational materials designed to stimulate your child’s brain. The Chalk Box is an educational supply source for teachers, parents, families and friends. They carry a large selection of decorative and resource materials as well as fun games and toys to stimulate and educate.
I am not a teacher but I am a parent of a 10 month old and we found that some of the wooden games and blocks are quite enjoyable for both Dad and Son. On the day I was visiting most people were walking in off the street looking for fun educational toys and games for their kids, nieces, and grandkids. The staff, also the owners, is helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.
So please make a plan to visit The Chalk Box in downtown Altoona, Pennsylvania. Tell them we here at StoryTrax said hello.

Fun video -- who knew bus drivers shopped for THEIR kids, too!
Great store, great story.
I've got to stop by there before my next school program.
