Michael's Cafe
Altoona, PA, 16601I like the tenderloin Roulade. It is a delicious and savory beef tenderloin stuffed with spinach, sun dried tomato and gorgonzola.
It is served with a vegetable, usually broccoli, and mashed garlic potatoes. Of course I also get a salad with Michael’s famous peanut dressing. Michael’s award winning dinner menu includes the area’s most exquisite fine dining array of appetizers, salads, and entrees, as well as a top-shelf wine and drink selection. Not only is Michael’s food phenomenal but his dedication to downtown Altoona is unsurpassed

Not only is Michael’s food phenomenal but his dedication to downtown Altoona is unsurpassedMichael took a gamble on Downtown Altoona. He located his fine dining restaurant in the heart of 11th Avenue and ever since has helped redefine the way people feel about downtown Altoona. He has helped promote the downtown through numerous events he has either started or supported. From the Arts on The Avenues to the Summer Jazz Concert series, Michael has had a hand in creating a cultural destination in beautiful downtown Altoona. His restaurant has an outdoor café for those delightful summer evenings and he also promotes area artist by letting them display their art within the restaurant.
Michael is energetic and his enthusiasm for the downtown is contagious. He is always on the go. Whether it is with his catering business, the restaurant, or with the numerous events he helps organize you can be Michael is happiest when he is on the go. Michael’s Café in Altoona is a great place for lunch or dinner. It is a nice dining experience in Altoona Pennsylvania. I would recommend the Tenderloin Roulade or the Asiago Chicken for dinner and save room for dessert. If you find yourself in the area for lunch I recommend the Sweet Chili Ham Wrap (grilled ham, melted chedder cheese, mixed greens, with sweet chili aioli) or a Rueben Quesadilla ( Corned beef, swiss cheese, sauerkraut, 1000 island dressing this all goes well with a cold class of ice tea and some of Michael’s homemade potato chips.
