I had an absolutely engaging and uplifting chat last evening with Gwendolyn Jones of the Garden State Story League (and many other storytelling organizations). She graciously shared her wisdom with me as I assume the role of editor for Story Art, the quarterly publication of the National Story League. Our wide-ranging conversation took us through some of the stories of our own lives, and I confirmed once again that the connections we have with others are so powerful when they are made through our stories.

Of course, we did eventually get around to one of the really important questions of our time:  What's for lunch? Gwendolyn told me she'd be lunching with the Garden State Story League in New Jersey today, and that she'd share our conversation with her friends there. The GSSL is one of the largest and most active in the United States. They are truly committed to service through storytelling. So welcome to you all. I hope you'll join in the fun here at StoryTrax and share some of your stories with us.

I hope you all have dry feet (and basements) by now!
