Bon Bini! Bonaire Scuba Diving
We at Mike’s Scuba enjoy vacations, who doesn't? When we first started our business we dreamed of the day when we would offer scuba trips to exotic locations. This past year we have been to Fort Lauderdale Florida, Dutch Springs, Mount Storm, and accompanied divers to Key West. A couple of those could be described exotic but none will be as exotic when we get off the plane in Bonaire in June.
Bon Bini! It is how they say welcome in Bonaire. Bonaire is a small island located in the southern Caribbean. It is often the B in the ABCs of the Caribbean; Aruba, Bonaire, and Curacao. Bonaire is quite unique in that it is considered a leader in the conservation of its natural environment namely its pioneering role in the conservation of its marine environment. It is because of this wise use of its natural resources that Bonaire is considered excellent scuba diving. Most magazines have heralded this small island as a well kept secret, unforgettable, and a divers paradise.
So why have we chosen Bonaire as the first out of this country experience for Mike’s Scuba? Well other than the great diving, Bonaire is often described as being laid back, slower paced and very tranquil. However, there is also a lively nightlife and several fun places to visit. With world class accommodations and restaurants, and unlimited diving opportunities it was a logical location for a dive trip. The people of Bonaire proudly proclaim that when you arrive to the island you are a visitor, but when you leave, you are a friend.
Mike’s Scuba will be in Bonaire June 6, 2007 – June 16, 2007. We will be staying at the Wannadive Hut. The rooms feature A/C, cable Tv, fridge, wireless internet, and private bathroom. The hotel has a lockable gear room, rinse tub, small restaurant for breakfast, and small bar open 5-9pm. There will be unlimited shore diving and tanks are available 24/7, and a rental truck is included. The price also includes a $25.00 dive tag. Most shore dives require four wheel drive. The price of the trip is $850.00. If you are not a current scuba diver but would like to learn in time for this trip then contact us at 814-695-4666.
