Bellefonte Victorian Manor

Bellefonte Victorian Manor

The Manor was constructed for Daniel and Maria Rhoads in 1877 by a local builder, Morris Corwdrick. The home is of the Second Empire style, of which there are approximately 15 residential structures of this type in Bellefonte’s historic district. This builder, Morris Cowdrick, was known as a brick mason and has substantially contributed to the architectural heritage of Bellefonte’s historical district, including the Brickwork at the Brokerhoff House on South Allegheny Street and the 1884 Methodist Parsonage at 146 E. Linn Street.
