is it spring yet?
So...I sit here amongst the orange bowl game and a bottle of Scottish Ale wondering why on earth did I come up to this god forsaken state? How much snow is too much snow? Can anyone tell me?
In the month of December we are up to 43 inches of snow! In the past 4 days we had two storms totaling 16 inches again!!!! For crying out loud! Am I being pessimistic? I look out the back window and where used to be my picnic table is now completely covered in snow. Is it pretty? yeah it's pretty but pretty doesn't help your back when you got bout 200 shovel fulls of the heaviest snow you ever saw! Naw...I'm just kidding. It is very pretty up here just very very cold and white. Last night got down to 3 below zero. So forgive me if I think ahead a bit.
Cory...Erin...Dad...wanna do some shark fishing? For now I am thinking about spring and not this tundra of where I'm at. A 40" Striper has our names on it!. I'm thinking of the Port Head Light in about 75 degree weather with a bottle of........water in my hand. Hey Dad...maybe we can spring for some outriggers on the boat and go for some tuna this summer!!
There truly is nothing like Maine in the winter believe you me. I went to pick up my son the other day and members of the Olympic Xcountry ski team were coming down my road...is that a sign? Well...spring is coming everybody and I'm holding on!!! I truly love Maine everyone, however...snow up to the waist is just a bit much!!! Happy New Year from a seriously cabin fevered son of a gun!!! Got a long way to go don't I?

You find me a sand bar and I'll be there. I mean a bar near the sand, and you're on bro. Cor
Gulf Shores Spring
Forget waiting for spring, son. Pull the boat out of storage and bring it down here to the gulf shore. It has been 70-75 degrees every day and they tell me the fishing is great! In the meantime I'll go over to the fish house and get fresh grouper for supper. Really looking forward to getting back in the boat.
Spring is Here
I am celebrating! The coal furnace is not working as hard, there is no need to wear a winter jacket, and I can stand outside as long as I want watch the stars at night. We in Central Pennsylvania are enjoying a Tropical heat wave, temperatures are approaching 70 degrees. LOVE IT!
Things will return to normal but I appreaciate Springs' early attempts for a foothold here in PA.
By the way....I would love to do some fishing.
