Who can be thankful?

The question is who can be thankful.  The founding fathers of this great nation came from other countries.  Then after that the "Pilgrums" came and learned to harvest from the "Native Americas".  From that point in time everyone has been thankful.  Correct?

Now how does that work, seeing at that point they were all now known as Americans.   The founding fathers were from countries... people came from those countries and moved to America and now this is happening all over the world, not just from those select countries.

It is also the rule that you are an American if you are born here.   This adds in a lot of variety.  Different races, different religion, different culture, different fast food restaurants.

Looking back over of who all started Thanksgiving and that it is an adoting holiday.  What raised the question of "Who can be thankful".   All of this started because of an evening, going out to eat with the woman. Guys you know how it is......

We went out to a local "chinese" restaurant and as we walked out, on the door was a sign stating that they would not be open on Thanksgiving day.  Now im am not a racial person...  I will judge cultures to a point but I do not hold cuture against people individually but a "CHINESE" restaurant celebrating an American holiday.  That is kinda odd in my mind...   I still sit here and wonder if its because all the chinese restaurant workers are actually chinese americans that would be celebrating thanksgiving because of the freedom of this country they are currently (or born) in or if its because everyone is going to be home that day eating turkey and stuffing. Then since everyone else has the day off of work  and business would probably not be doing so great that day, they decided just to take the day off.

It makes you think a little.  Either way doesnt bother me because it seems that everyone has a right to be where they want to be whether its in this country or in some other far off place.   I know if I wasnt where i want to be that I would probably move.
I believe that a good variety of people also serve in our armed forces which proves that they have the right to celebrate.

Thanksgiving is not just a day to celebrate freedom, but a day to celebrate everything we have in this country and the freedom to enjoy everything that is entailed with it.  As long as you are hear and working and enjoying life (or just have something to be thankful for), Come Celebrate. Be Thankful.

I just thought it was odd to walk out of a chinese restaurant and see that they were taking thanksgiving day off.

To everyone.... Have a happy thanksgiving and safe travels for everyone that is coming home for this holiday.
Also good luck to the early Friday shoppers!  Remeber if you can knock the old lady over and take whatever product she is holding then it is technically not hers until she makes it into the checkout line.  :o)
Good luck
