Our Halloween Story
It was a perfect Halloween morning. The sun fought through the veil of fog. An ancient catalpa tree stretched its bony arms
toward the brightening sky. Frost carpeted the yard, revealing the tracks of the waning night's creatures. An oak leaf released its grasp on the branch that it had clung to through summer storm and drought and fell lazily toward the icy grass below. As the sun won its battle with the fog, the old house creaked and groaned as century-old boards tried once again to make peace with the diurnal temperature swings of a crisp fall day.
A loud snap distracted her from the glowing screen, causing fingers to tremble over the waiting keyboard.
"What was that!" she thought. Probably just the house settling, or an acorn dropped from the oak tree onto the porch roof. Maybe a bird flew into a window. "Yeah, that's it," she convinced herself. Little did she know what adventures awaited her and her Storytrax friends on this Halloween day.

Did She See me?
Did I see something? When
Did I see something? When I turned from my computer to look out the window a flash of orange had caught my eye. Must be a hunter getting too close to the house. Maybe I should go out and remind him that there are people living here.
