A jack-o-lantern without the mess

Do you really enjoy a nicely carved jack-o-lantern but can't stand putting your hand into a slimy gourd and pulling out all that icky stuff? Maybe you're still recovering from last year's unfortunate carving incident (but at least your stitches are healed!).
Well, this is the site for you. Enjoy!

Great fun, but . . .
What about the roasted pumpkin seeds? Does anyone else do that? We wash them (a tedious job at best), pat them dry, then sautee them slowly in a little oil and salt, until coated. Then roast them in the oven on a baking sheet at about 325 degrees until nice and toasty. Anne H.
A good diversion
This was a great diversion. Althought my pumpkin carving skills leave a little to be desired.
Clay hardens by immobility – men's minds by standing pat. Both lose the power to take new impressions. (Pinchot 1910: 138)
